Junior Section is a bit more formal. Boys take part in activities like Maze Marching, Bible and general quizzes, Cross country running, board games and 5 a side football. Again there are stickers and badges to be earned, Target and Bronze in 1st year, Silver in 2nd and Gold in 3rd.
There are also Battalion Competitions to take part in. Earlier this year, Boys from Junior Section took part in the Battalion General Knowledge and Bible quizzes. Although the results of the Bible quiz won't be known until the end of April, we are delighted to report that the General Knowledge team, Ian Bannister, Iain Scott, Lewis MacDonald and Ali Fordyce won the competition, only the second time that 1st Bothwell has achieved this. Boys from Junior Section also competed in the Battalion marching competition and finished second.
A number of those involved have moved on to the Company Section and we wish them well. The current Junior Section is, however, more than capable of repeating the feat this year!
