The Company Section has a much wider award scheme which allows the boys to eventually earn the Queens' Badge - the highest award in the BB. Several disciplines are covered, including Christian faith, interests and hobbies, camping and expedition, Drill and leadership skills. We also participate in Battalion Competitions and have achieved some success, particularly in the Quiz which we have won for the past 9 years and in Drill, which we have held for the past 12 years. We have also had success at Scottish level in Drill.
Like Junior Section, the Company Section has enjoyed success in Battalion events. Our table tennis teams managed to achieve second and third place, and our two squads entered for Restricted Drill came first and second. We also successfully defended our MasterTeam quiz title, with two teams entering. The standard of entry was very high, and although the 'B' team achieved 5th place, this was only 4 points off second place, illustrating just how good the standard of entry was. The 'A' team, Cameron Blake, Steven Buntiland and Jack Hamilton, took 1st place, leading the closest competitors by over 30 points. This is the 10th consecutive year that we have won this, so very well done to all concerned.
Later in the Session, we take part in the Bible, Drill, Cross Country, Football and Badminton competitions and hope to add to our successes.
